Silver Strand State Beach is a great place for beginners to surf this consistent left and right beach break waves over a smooth sandy bottom. It's best on hurricane or combo swells during mid to high tide.
Surfers should stay north or south of the designated swimming areas and be aware of potential rips and stingrays.
