Surf Stan's Beach, Coronado, California
Coronado's South Beach begins at the cul-de-sac at the end of Avenida Del Sol and stretches southward to the fence line of the Naval Special Warfare Command Complex. Also nicknamed Stan's Beach after Coronado surf coach Stan Searfus who passed away in 2018 while surfing off Point Loma.
Be aware of Stingrays - espcially in the summer. When entering water shuffle your feet in the sand to lura them away.
