Tamarindo is a small oceanfront town located along the northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica in Central America. Playa Tamarindo presents along beach with excellent waves and a number of named breaks: Pico Pequeno, a rocky point break and El Estero, which breaks from the mouth of the local river beckon more experienced surfers. Witches Rock and Ollie’s Point are two other local reef breaks that appeal to a broad cross section of board riders and body surfers; These two locally famous surf spots are accessible by boat only and offer left and right breaking tubes.
