Surf
South Coast of Barbados (Surfer’s Point & Silver Sands)
View Original Description
Barbados offers the best surfing in the Caribbean. The island's location far out in the Atlantic Ocean allows waves to travel nearly three thousand miles in the open ocean to Barbados' coral reefs. The island is guaranteed to have surf somewhere along it's coast at almost any given day of the year.
The South Coast will be perfect if you want a variety of surfing conditions.
Surfer’s Point is a popular break on the southern end of the island. This beach also has windsurfers and kitesurfers.
Silver Sands is where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea on the southern tip of the island and is another good place to surf, windsurf and kitesurf.
If the reason your visiting Barbados is to surf you should pick lodging on either the East or South coast of the island.
