Swim in Poço Encantado (Enchanted Well), Chapada Diamantina, Brazil
Go swimming in Poço Encantado (Enchanted Well) is an underground lake with a natural window out to the Bahian jungle above. Between April and September, the sun is at the perfect angle and the light hitting the water, giving an amazing blue effect.
The water is so clear that one can see more than 200 feet to the bottom, where ancient tree trunks and rock formations can be seen as if they were just a little bit down.
The pool is locatedjust east of Chapada Diamantina National Park.
