Take a Class at Super Sonic Samba School, Balboa Park, San Diego, California
Super Sonic Samba School is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that has been entertaining San Diego residents and guests with the pulsating rhythms of Brazil for more 20 years in the same location. From the strong African influence of Samba Reggae from Northeastern Brazil, to the latin flavor of Rio-style Carnaval, every passerby will find it easy to stop and groove! The school provides music and dance instruction for all ages and all levels free of charge (but donations are appreciated).
The group practices every Sunday at Balboa Park by the Peppergrove Children's Playground (approx. 2200 Park Blvd.) from 12:30pm to 3pm and Wednesdays inside the WorldBeat Center from 7:30pm to 10pm.
