Top 10 Breaks in the World
View Original Description
The pursuit of wave riding has likely been a worthwhile endeavor since man first walked upright. It’s thought the original attempts were made through the utilization of only the surfer’s body and later by riding pieces of wood in different configurations. It would seem that the desire to harness the power of the ocean waves is part of our DNA. The first recorded attempts are attributed to the pre-Incas in Peru and of course the Polynesians that inhabited the islands of the Pacific Ocean but logic tells us the sport was practiced anywhere in the world where crashing waves mesmerized those who gazed upon them.
