Ride Pico Isabel de Torres, Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic
Ride the only aerial tramway in the Caribbean. From Puerto Plata visitors can ride up to the Pico Isabel de Torres, a 793 meter high mountain within the city. From the top have fantastic views and a cool breeze. There is a large statue of Jesus Christ at the top.
To get there take a taxi to the base of Mount Isabel de Torres southwest of Puerto Plata, and from there, a cable car to the peak. Go in the early morning before the afternoon cloud cover rolls in.
