Use South Rim 1922 Scenic Locator, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
There are several sighting tubes like this along the South Rim in Grand Canyon Village. Each notch is identified with a landmark in the distance. There is one that has worked perfectly since 1922 along the Rim Trail near the El Tovar Hotel.
When you look through the tube, the base plaque identifies the name of the scene that you are looking at. This is an interesting way to see the names of several of the prominent features.
