Visit 20-Mile Beach, Walker Lake, Nevada
20-Mile Beach is located north of Tamarack Beach and Sportsman’s Beach. It is the most removed from US-95 and features a more natural appearance as well as sweeping views of the north shores of the lake.
Once a mecca for fisherman, boaters, and tourists, today Walker Lake is largely empty. Years of declining water levels and increased salinity took a heavy toll on wildlife and the surrounding community. But, efforts are underway (and working) to bring the lake back.
