Visiting all 50 of the United States might seem a daunting task at first glance but the endeavor is more than worthwhile. From the State of Alaska (which is situated even further West than Hawaii) to the easternmost State of Maine, the USA stretches over 5,000 miles (8,000 kilometers). Every State has its attractions and unique features but collectively the 50 States of the United States of America presents an unmatched patchwork quilt of different cultures, dialects, lifestyles, cuisine, geography and history. Each State has its own capital; each claims must-visit locations offering recreation, unique natural beauty, institutes of higher education, engineering achievements and sites of historical significance. The United States boasts an excellent highway system connecting all but the State of Hawaii (of course, to visit Alaska the Canadian system must be accessed). Air travel between the States is abundant and convenient.
Put a visit to all 50 States of the United States of America on your list and start planning how to fulfill that dream today. You can start with the States you may have already visited. Include Washington D.C. and the US Territories in Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa and the Marianas to the list of the 50 States and you will truly have a challenge worth your pursuit.
