Visit Alykes, Zakynthos Island, Greece

Alykes is a village on the northeastern coast of Zakynthos Island, Greece. It's about 10 km (6.2 mi) northwest of Zakynthos (city). Check out the salt marshes in this area. It is very peculiar for the presence of salterns that supply salt to the entire island and from where the town derives its name (Alykes in Greek literally means saltern).
