Anchor Bay is within the Tāwharanui Regional Park on the North Island of New Zealand. The bay is a beautiful sheltered cove and a very popular spot with locals at weekends.
Make sure to walk down the beach towards the rock pools and jump into one of the pools. The beach can get very busy during the summer months.
The beach is a popular surfing spot when there’s a good swell.
The bay is about a 80 minutes drive north of Auckland.
