Visit Appiani Family Tomb, Monumental Cemetery of Staglieno, Genoa, Italy
The Appiani family tomb is located in the Monumental Cemetery of Staglieno in Genoa, Italy. The tomb was created in 1910 by Italian sculptor Demetrio Paernio and features a marble depiction of the Lamentation of Christ. It was used on the cover of the album Closer. Photograph was taken by Bernard Pierre Wolff in 1978.
