Visit AT&SF Welch Station Ruins, Williams, Arizona
The old Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe railroad had a tiny outpost named Welch about 12 miles from Williams. All that remains is a large slab. At this location, the Santa Fe line separated into a steeper eastbound section along the Johnson Canyon and through the Johnson Tunnel (now abandoned), and the easier, but longer westbound section (still in use).
Access it from old Route 66 to Corva Rd - high clearance vehicle required.
