Visit Baie des Tortues (Turtle Bay), New Caledonia

Turtle Bay is one of the few places in New Caledonia where waves from the Pacific Ocean can reach the mainland side. The island is massively protected by a reef. This place takes its name from the bighead turtles that come to lay each year on this beach. It is common to see them in this place. Baie des Tortues (Turtle Bay) is located just north of Plage de la Roche Percée in New Caledonia.
