Visit Black Canyon Overlook, Arizona

Black Canyon Overlook is along Hwy 93 and offers views of Black Canyon and the Colorado River. Black Canyon covers more than 17,000 acres of wilderness. And here’s something cool: if you look closely, you’ll notice the canyon is made of different landscapes on the west and east sides. The west is formed of gently rolling basalt hills, and the east side is made up of steep volcanic cliffs. TIPS: Black Canyon is a great spot for spying a Bighorn Sheep and other wildlife! Only drive down into the canyon with 4WD. A 2WD vehicle will get you down there, but it might not get you back up!
