Visit Blue Stone Quarry, Robben Island, South Africa

Blue Stone Quarry is a disused lime quarry on Robben Island, a former prison now a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Cape Town, South Africa. Mining at the Blue Quarry started in the 17th century. It is a very large stone quarry protected from the sea by a dry stone and rubble berm.
