The T. Tyler Potterfield Memorial Bridge was created from the foundation piers of a railroad bridge that was removed some time ago. Impressive views can be had from it without worry of vehicle traffic you may find on other bridges like the 9th street bridge and Robert E. Lee bridges. Also from the bridge, you can see foundation piers of at least three other bridges that were burned or removed in other ways over the centuries.
The Manchester Climbing Wall is an area where people can practice rock climbing. There is the wall and two foundations (for carriages) that people can free climb or clip into as they make their way to the top. It has recently been made far more accessible with the construction of the Potterfield Memorial bridge. It was once a secluded and quiet spot.
