Visit Captain Smith's Cabin, Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area, Colorado

Captain Smith's Cabin was built by Henry Smith by using those two stone slabs as one wall of the cabin. Inside he carved himself an alcove for his bed and a slot for his guns (we know what was important to him!). Below you can see some additional shots of the site (as soon as I add them...). Once again the fence is to keep cattle out, and the "gateway" and walkway are very narrow, enough for one person at a time.
