Visit Cathédrale Saint-Joseph de Nouméa, Nouméa, New Caledonia

Saint-Joseph de Nouméa Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in Nouméa, New Caledonia. It has been the seat of the Archdiocese of Nouméa since the creation of the diocese in 1966. The Saint-Joseph church was built from 1887 to 1897 thanks to prison labor and on the plans of a former convict, a certain Labulle. She is blessed 26 octobre 1890 by Father Xavier Montrouzier, chaplain of the hospital, inaugurated on the following All Saints' Day and consecrated by the Apostolic Vicar of the Fiji Islands, Mgr Julien Vidal, before the facade and the bell towers were completely finished.
