Visit Coffee Bay, South Africa

Coffee Bay is a small town which has a beautiful beaches in Wild Coast, Eastern Cape Province, South Africa. The area around Coffee Bay is rugged with high cliffs, has cellent fishing, rustic resorts, surfing and great hikes. The Hole-in-the-Wall is an geological natural occurrence about 8 km due south of Coffee Bay on the Wild Coast Region, Eastern Cape in South Africa. The formation is large enough for a sailboat to cross underneath it with ease. It is reachable by foot just off the beach joining the rock formation to the land. The local inhabitants call it esiKhaleni or 'Place of noise'. Coffee Bay was named after a ship that lost its cargo of coffee beans in a wreck off the Wild Coast and the beans were supposedly washed up on the beach to germinate there. Coffee Bay about 250 kilometres south of the city of Durban and a 4 hours drive from East London.
