Visit
Copenhagen, Denmark
View Original Description
The capital of Denmark, Copenhagen is quickly becoming a rising star among European cities. It is also perhaps one of the world’s greenest cities. In fact, over 30 percent of its residents get around on bike. Most of the major thoroughfares have bicycle paths. When visiting Denmark, try exploring the city from this vantage point. There are plenty of free bikes to use that can be found around the city.
Danish design with its clean lines and utilitarian style is also making a come back. The city is filled with successful designers and many can be found at the Dansk Design Center. To take a piece of Danish design home visit the main shopping area on Stroget Street. Beyond the city center there are plenty of interesting spots to check out as well, such as the edgier district of Norrebro or the rejuvenated hip port of Nyhavn home to the colorful slanted houses.
