Crane Cove Park, San Francisco, California
View Original Description
Crane Cove Park is a new open space along the currently inaccessible former industrial shoreline. The park will be a part of the Blue Greenway, a necklace of waterfront public access connecting the City to the shore via pathways, parks and open spaces. The prak preserves historic maritime resources, provides public access and recreation opportunities to the Bay, contributes to a vibrant new Pier 70 neighborhood. There’s an unusual large old shipbuilding slip and preserved specimens of equipment from the famous Union Iron Works. There are several large lawns and a rocky beach with decent access. Great for dogs swimming and cooling off(wading only, no swimming).
