The ancient deme of Koile is located southwest of Athens, on the slopes of the hills of the muses and the Pnyx on either side of the deep ravine formed by the two Hills. Coele or Koile (Ancient Greek: Κοίλη or Κοιλή) was a deme of ancient Athens, originally of the phyle of Hippothontis, and between 307/6 BCE and 201/200 BCE of Demetrias.
