Visit Engenho Central do Bracuhy Ruins, Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
The old mill was known as Sugar Mill Central Bracuhy and was inaugurated on June 12, 1885, attended by the then Minister of Agriculture, Director Antonio Carneiro da Rocha. In 1886 the firm, Souza Brothers & Co, has control of the venture company Furquim VAPP & Co. The Mill stood out at the time, its way of production. Its broadcast system, steam, differed very much, the crushing of the cane mill. At the end of the last century it fell into decay along with the sugar industry in Brazil.
