Visit Faro Punta Corona, Ancud, Chiloé Island, Chile

The Punta Corona Lighthouse is a lighthouse belonging to the Chilean Navy . It is located 37 km from the town of Ancud in the Los Lagos Region. Inhabited lighthouse. Reinforced concrete tower that was built by the Danish engineer Enrique Siemsen. Put into service in 1859, it has a height of 9.5 meters and currently a light range of 32 nautical miles with a xenon light. It is considered, in tourism, among the twelve heritage wonders of the Los Lagos Region. It is the second lighthouse put into service in Chile.
