Visit Ghetto Heroes Square, Krakow, Poland

In WWII, this square in the Krakow's Podgorze district was the point of departure for thousands of Jews from the Krakow ghetto to various camps. The Ghetto Heroes square today was recreated by created by Krakow architects Piotr Lewicki and Kazimierz Latak and is now silent witness to the extermination of Jews and now constitutes a memorial, a work of art and a living public space.
