View Original Description
Isla San José is an island in the Gulf of California, off the east coast of the Baja California peninsula.
There is an old private airstrip, a small fishing village, and an abandoned salt mine with old buildings and equipment located at Pointe Salina about half way down the western side of the island.
Take a dingy through the mangroves at the southern end of the island. Make sure to drive slowly through them to not disturb any of the birds.
