Kete Kesu is a traditional village hidden in the mountanous region of Tana Toraja in South Sulawesi. It’s surrounded by rice fields and is over 400 years old which makes it the oldest village in the area. It became a sort of living museum as all traditions are maintained until now and you can experience local life very closely. What travelers find quirky and interesting about Kete Kesu are their hanging graves, burial sites and funeral ceremonies.
