Laguna de los Cuervos, Minas, Uruguay
View Original Description
This place is located in the department of Lavalleja, about 10 km north of the city of Minas.
It is called Laguna de los Cuervos given the stillness of the Santa Lucía River at that point (similar to a lagoon) and the large number of vultures found in the area (the locals confuse them with crows).
The Cerro de los Cuervos is located in a paradisiacal corner, in a widening of the Santa Lucía River, and owes its name to the number of “crows” that fly over its top.
