Visit Lakeview Overlook (Lake Mead), Nevada
Looking for one of Lake Mead’s best views? Then Lakeview Overlook is a must-see. Located right off Highway 93 near Hoover Dam, it’s a great place to stop while traveling to or from the dam. The view here of Lake Mead’s blue waters is a great way to impress a date or enjoy some awe-inspiring nature time. Just head to the top of the parking lot for miles of eye candy.
TIPS:
Stop here on your way to or from Hoover Dam
From here, you can also spot an old abandoned railroad tunnel
Look for the sign off Highway 93
BONUS: Why is Lake Mead so blue?
It might sound strange, but Lake Mead’s water is so blue because it is so clear! This, along with its depth, sunny skies and lots of dissolved minerals, makes for an impressively blue lake.
