Visit Little Jost Van Dyke (Paradise Cay), British Virgin Islands (BVI)

Little Jost Van Dyke (Little Jost) is a small island on the east end of the island of Jost Van Dyke. It is the location of the Diamond Cay National Park, which includes the nesting grounds of wild boobies, terns and pelicans. Dive sites can be found at Twin Towers, two large rock formations rising from 90 feet. Snorkeling is good along the eastern where there is a nice little reef. Eagle rays, octopus, sea turtles and tarpon are found here. There is a nice beach along the south side of Little Jost. It's an easy dinghy ride from Little Jost Harbour and is a great place to anchor for lunch. The anchorage is on the southeastern end of Little Jost Van Dyke. There are only 10 moorings in Little Jost but they don’t seem to fill up until mid afternoon. Pay for the moorings at Foxy’s Taboo. If the moorings are taken, there is plenty of room to anchor. The island is uninhabited, but was the site of an eighteenth-century Quaker colony. Like Jost Van Dyke, it takes its name from the Dutch privateer Joost van Dyk.
