Marilyn Monroe's Subway Grate, Manhattan, New York

In Midtown East Manhattan there is the unmarked subway grate created one of the most iconic images in American cinema. The famous photo was taken the morning of September 15th, 1954. Marilyn Monroe had her white halter dress blown up over her hips by an uptown 6 train while filming The Seven Year Itch.
It's on the southwest corner of Lexington Avenue and 52nd street.
