Mingei International Museum celebrates human creativity in a variety of materials and forms. Our collection of folk art, craft and design is full of surprising, beautiful and memorable objects from around the world and across time. We care deeply about design and functionality; we celebrate the hand made, and the passionately crafted. We also believe art is something for everyone and that all people are creative.
In addition to galleries for exhibitions and programming Mingei has a new theater and education center and amenities including a gift shop, restaurant (opening November 2021) and cafe for visitors to enjoy.
