Visit Mosquée de Kouto (Kouto Mosque), Côte d’Ivoire
The Kouto Mosque is a Sudanese style mosque located in Kouto in the north of Côte d'Ivoire.
Built in the 17thcentury, the Kouto mosque is built on a square area of 8mx8. It is located to the west at the entrance to Kouto. It is separated from the village environment by a long wall made of stone blocks. The mosque has three parts:
A first where the prayer space reserved for men is located and adjoining the Place de l'Iman.
A second which is the entrance.
A third composed of the women's prayer space and a terrace
