Visit Museu de Arte Sacra de Paraty (Museum of Sacred Art), Brazil
Founded in 1978, the Museum of Sacred Art works in the century-old Church of Santa Rita, in the Historic Center of Paraty. The museum reopened its doors on June 13, 2015, after 7 years of renovations and restorations.
Its collection includes important historical and religious relics, found and collected from several other churches in the city. Among them, and utilitarian objects in silver and gold, images of saints, antique furniture, period pieces and many sacred artifacts.
