Visit Parnidis Dune Sundial, Curonian Spit, Lithuania

This 12-metre sundial stands on top of the Parnidis Dune in Curonian Spit, Lithuania. Each step around it represents one hour of the day. The sundial was erected at this location in 1995, because from here one can see the Sun rise from the Curonian lagoon in the east and set over the Baltic Sea in the west. The sundial blew down during a hurricane in 1999 but has since been re-erected.
