Visit Peter Norbeck Outdoor Education Center, Custer State Park, South Dakota
The Peter Norbeck Outdoor Education Center is one mile west of the Visitor Center and one mile east of the Park Office. Nestled in a broad valley, the Education Center is a perfect opportunity to catch an educational program or just take the opportunity to play and explore. The Education Center is open while undergoing renovations so please pardon our mess.We’re constructing a Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom around the rear of the building and working with Split Rock Studios to renovate the interior as a nature-based children’s museum. The majority of the interpretive and educational programs within the park occur at this location.
