Visit Port Medway Lighthouse, Nova Scotia, Canada

The lighthouse was established on the eastern end of the breakwater in Port Medway harbour, on the south coast. It was put into operation on April 1, 1899. The lighthouse is a square wooden tower, with sloping sides, topped by a square wooden lantern. The lighthouse is all white, and stands 10 meters (33ft) high from its base to the vane of the lantern. The lighthouse was covered in vinyl siding in 1979 and decommissioned on January 4, 1989. Tower Height: 10 meters (33ft) Light Height: 9.45 meters (31ft) above water level
