Visit Sauna Cave, Nevada
Imagine tunneling into rock to build the Hoover Dam and striking a natural hot spring--120-degree water spraying in every direction. That’s the story of Sauna Cave. Because of the hot spring, workers couldn’t complete a tunnel at this location and were forced to abandon the site. Now you can check out manmade Sauna Cave on your visit to the Black Canyon. The cave is now full of hot water and has a temperature of around 130°F. Planks have also been put down to allow visitors to walk to this natural sauna and marvel at its beauty.
