Visit Scotland's Secret Bunker, Scotland

Located at an innocent-looking Scottish building hid a cold-war secret. 100 feet below and along a 150 yard tunnel lies a two-story nuclear bunker which was originally constructed as a long-range radar site and later was converted to be a seat of government for Scotland in the event of a nuclear conflict. When fully operational it would have a staff of about 300, contained in a self-contained space sealed off with blast doors and air filtration. It was formerly known as RAF Troywood or RAF Anstruther and today it's "Scotland's Secret Bunker". It's located in the County of Fife, is fully furnished as it was when a government bunker and in normal circumstances is open to visitors.
