Visit Shark Island Memorial, Lüderitz, Namibia
Memorial commemorating German soldiers who died in the 1904-08 war with Namibia are located on Shark Island in Lüderitz, the site of an internment camp (perhaps the first of its kind) where several hundred Ovaherero and Nama prisoners perished during the German extermination campaign.
