Visit Singing Sand Dunes (Qatar)
Singing Sand Dunes Qatar are an approximately 100 square km area with about 60 meter high sand dunes which create a magical vibrating sound when you move the sand. Qatar has several sets of sand dunes that can "sing"; there are similar dunes in other parts of the world as well. Apparently dunes will only sing if they are the right shape and the sand particles are the correct size. The sound is then caused by sand movement - either from wind or from kids running up and down. We found that the latter worked well.
