Skała Pielgrzym (Pilgrim Rock) is a rock in the Sokole Mountains between Olsztyn and Biskupice in the Silesian Voivodeship , Częstochowa County, Olsztyn Commune. It is located on the ridge of Sokole Góra in the Mirowsko-Olsztyńska Upland, which is part of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland.
Pielgrzym is located in the forest, within the Sokole Góry nature reserve . It is the most northwestern prominent rock of the Sokole Mountains. It is built of limestone , has flat, vertical or overhanging walls with a height of 11–16 m.
Rock climbing is permitted on the rock (the annexes to the Order of the Regional Director for Environmental Protection in Katowice contain sketches of the rocks with the course of climbing routes).
Climbers have created 24 climbing routes on it, with a difficulty of III–VI.4 on the Kurtyka scale. They are divided into three groups:
Pilgrim I: 6 routes, IV – VI.1+, all of them have a belay in the form of 1-4 rings and reps,
Pilgrim II: 10 routes, VI.1 – VI.3+, most with belay (3-5 rings, Velcro),
Pilgrim III: 8 routes, III-VI.2, 3 with belay (4-6 rings, Velcro).
The rock formations include: a pillar, a chimney, a cut. Climbing routes face west, south-east, and south.
