Skriðuklaustur (Gunnarsson Museum), Iceland

Skriðuklaustur is a farmstead in the valley of Fljótsdalur in Iceland. It was the home of author Gunnar Gunnarsson and in 1939 was built and designed by German architect Fritz Höger. The house today is a museum for Gunnarsson.
This building was a site of a monastery from 1493 until the Reformation, then a church till 1792.
One of the Visiting Centers for the Vatnajökull National Park is at Skriðuklaustur.
