Staircase Ranger Stationis located at the end of the Staircase Road (USFS 24) inside Olympic National Park. Self-registration permits FOR NON-RESERVATION AREAS are still available in the after-hours kiosk next to the ranger station. Self-registration for reservation areas is allowed October 1st - April 30th. Quotas still exist in reservation areas during the winter season; camp in designated sites only. Following U.S. Highway 101, turn west on to WA-119 N/N Lake Cushman Rd. in Hoodsport. In 12.6 miles, take a left at the stop sign to continue on WA-119 N/USFS 24/Staircase Road to the ranger station.
