The famed Empire State Building officially has 102 stories and opens its 86th- and 102nd-floor observation decks to visitors every day of the year. But did you know about the "secret" 103rd floor - a narrow outdoor platform offers great views of the city. The tiny observatory deck, just beneath the antenna, isn’t normally open to the public - probably because it is narrow and has no railings - the barrier only comes up to one's knees. You will have to find a behind-the-scenes tour to get there.
