Visit The Frenchman's Rock, Penneshaw, Kangaroo Island, South Australia

Frenchman's Rock was inscribed by the members of French explorer Nicolas Baudin's crew on the ship Le Geographe in 1803 during his expedition to map the coast of Australia between 1800 to 1803. The rock was later removed and is now located in the Gateway Information Centre. A replica now occupies the rock's original location on Penneshaw Beach.
