The Sea of Stars on Vaadhoo Island on the Raa Atoll, Maldives is a place where bioluminescence washes up on the beach which gives its waters the appearance of a mirrored image of the starry sky.
This occurrence and phytoplankton can produce similar effects in other places in th world but the combination of the stunning landscape and remote location definitely makes the Vaadhoo Islands a must on my wish list destination.
